For nearly two decades, MapQuest has been helping people get from A to B. We’ve introduced tools, we’ve improved the interface and, after observing how people interact with our products, we iterate again. One such instance is how businesses are using the MapQuest Local Business Center (LBC). We noticed businesses were using our LBC to handle information corrections, so we created a more streamlined way to change existing business information such as contact info, hours of operation and even addresses. This has always been and will continue to be a free service. For businesses looking to amplify their presence, whether it be monitoring customer reviews, adding enhanced content to a listing or syncing content with their business Facebook page, MapQuest will still offer business solutions there, too. At the end of this month, the basic MapQuest LBC version will be retired; however, we will continue our partnership with Yext, which gives businesses the opportunity to enhance their listings with several tools and features to help their business succeed.
